Professor from DETI-UFC publishes article in “Science” in co-authorship with Physics Nobel Prize winner

Professor Hilma Vasconcelos, of the Teleinformatics Engineering Department (DETI) of the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) and who works in the Telecommunications Engineering course, integrated the article “Quantum gate teleportation between separated qubits in a trapped-ion processor“, published in the May issue of the prestigious scientific journal Science. The research, which addresses the improvement of quantum computers, counted with the participation of an international team, with emphasis for the co-authorship of Prof. David Wineland, a physicist who won the Nobel Prize for Physics in 2012.
