Ericsson and the Federal University of Ceará celebrate 20 years of partnership
Published at: November 11, 2020 Category: NewsOn November 12th, from 10 am to 11 am, Ericsson will host the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) for a live conversation in its series of virtual meetings, Ericsson Easy Talks, to talk together about the 20 years of history of collaboration that was signed between the two organizations in early 2000.
On the occasion, Edvaldo Santos, Head of Ericsson’s Research, Development and Innovation Center for the Southern Cone of Latin America, will talk to Rodrigo Cavalcanti, Full Professor at UFC and currently his Deputy Dean of Research, and together they will revisit the main milestones recorded so far. They will highlight the innovations that have been achieved over the past two decades as a result of the partnership and how joint research has impacted on technological advances in Brazil and in the world, especially with regard to 5G. They will also talk about collaboration agreements under development at that time and how they foster opportunities for Brazilian researchers at the national and global levels. Professor Rodrigo Cavalcanti and several other professors from the Department of Teleinformatics Engineering (DETI) linked to the Telecommunications Engineering course and the Wireless Telecommunications Research Group (GTEL) work on research projects maintained in partnership by the two institutions.
